| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc.
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Summary : formerly in black Africa, throughout the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, infettility could break a marriage. A birth even not planned was the matérialization of the gods’ will to link a couple. When the newborn was a male elder, he became the principal heir and faeher’s worthy successor. This child consequently received a particular éducation. adipted to his future responsibilities. In today’s Africa where mix tradition and modernity, the concept of household exists and we talk more and more about unwanted pregnancies, an illegitimate child and unwanted child. This status of natural child or unwanted child is opposed to the psychology of the heir (special education, attachement to the father in order to learn and to be the father’s worthy successor), involving a vulnerability, base sometimes of the abuses and addictions to the psychoactive substances among some elder children. Abel’s history (addictions to the cannabis), illustrates very well the problem of an unwanted elder boy by his father and paternal Family. |
