| Summary, etc. | Starting with the difficulty of combining non-coercive individualism and egalitarianism, this article studies two uses of the French collective speaker nous (“we”) during an anarchist meeting. Analysing a brief conversation between three speakers as to how to talk about the police, it shows how this collective speaker created division and symbolic violence among participants who paradoxically called themselves “anti-authoritarian”. |
