| Summary, etc. | RésuméCette recherche se propose d’étudier le rôle de la prosodie émotionnelle dans la compréhension d’actes de langage expressifs par des enfants et des adolescents présentant un Trouble du Spectre Autistique (TSA). Vingt-six participants avec TSA et vingt-six témoins typiques doivent déterminer l’état émotionnel du locuteur à partir d’une épreuve informatisée de complètement d’histoires. Les énoncés proposés sont dépourvus de contenu sémantique (pseudo-énoncés), combinés à une prosodie négative ou positive et présentés dans deux conditions : imbriqués dans un contexte (positif ou négatif) ou isolés. Lorsque la prosodie est en compétition avec le contexte, les participants avec TSA utilisent moins la prosodie positive que leurs témoins. La discussion se focalise sur les déficits inférentiels et exécutifs présents dans les TSA. |

| Summary, etc. | The objective of this research is to study the role of emotional prosody in expressive language acts understanding by children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Twenty-six children and adolescents with ASD and twenty-six typically developing controls performed a computerized task featuring emotional prosody, either embedded in a discrepant context or without any context at all. The experimental task was to determine the emotional state of the speaker. When the prosody was embedded in a discrepant context, they relied less on the emotional prosody than the controls, but only when it was positive. We discuss these findings with respect to executive and inferential deficits presents in ASD. |
