Summary, etc. In recent years, the various tribunals set up in Germany after 1945 have benefited from a variety of historiographical approaches, reflecting the complexity of the phenomenon. More specifically, the experience of Nazi women in post-war trials has mobilized a growing space in the post-war trial historiography. This article sets out to demonstrate that the evolution of historiography on female Nazi defendants in Germany after World War II was made possible by the opening up of the research fields to other historiographical currents and the mobilization of new sources. This development created issues specific to this historiographical field, bringing to the fore new sources and new avenues of research. In particular, the opening up to women’s and gender history and the creation of Perpetrators Studies have made it possible to address a variety of elements specific to women’s experience in post-war courts: the importance of gendered norms surrounding the accused, the perception of female violence, and the representation of accused women in public discourse.
