Summary, etc. Spheroids and organoids are cellular models capable of self-organization in 3 dimensions in vitro and which mimic the organization of an organ. The oviduct, located between the ovary and the uterus, is the site of final gamete maturation, fertilization, and early embryonic development. Our aim is to develop oviduct spheroids and organoids to better understand the roles of this organ in the mechanisms of sperm storage and selection by the maternal organism, as well as in the embryo–maternal dialogue during the development of the young embryo.
