| Summary, etc. |

| Summary, etc. | BACKGROUND Ekbom syndrome is a rare condition in psychiatric consultations, often difficult to diagnose. The aim of this study was to investigate the psychopathology of this syndrome in the Ivorian context. Method: This was a case study of four (04) patients followed at the Abidjan Addictology and Mental Hygiene Service (SAHM) in 2023. RESULTS 75% of patients were women, with 50% in their seventies. There was a medical nomadism in their therapeutic itineraries, with late consultation in psychiatry. Clinical symptoms included delusions of infestation, tactile and cenesthetic hallucinations, insomnia and anxiety. Because of its clinical polymorphism, Ekbom syndrome was confused with chronic hallucinatory psychosis. CONCLUSION The diagnostic difficulty of Ekbom syndrome calls for a strengthening of practitioners' skills. |
