Habituellement, ils sont répartis de manière binaire, conservateurs et progressistes. Raison du Cleuziou affine ces distinctions dans une quadripartition. Ces classifications trop sociologiques gagnent en profondeur ecclésiologique, donc théologique, grâce à une relecture d’Henri de Lubac. Partant de son observation selon laquelle intégrisme et progressisme trouvent leur réponse dans la mystique, l’article distribue les « cathos » en trois idéaux-types en vue non de les opposer, mais de les intégrer : conservatisme, progressisme et spiritualisme. |

| Summary, etc. | This article proposes a theological typology of affiliation groups within the Catholic Church in France. These groups are usually divided into two categories: conservative and progressive. Raison du Cleuziou refines these distinctions into a four-part classification. These overly sociological classifications gain ecclesiological, and therefore theological, depth thanks to a reinterpretation by Henri de Lubac. Based on Lubac’s observation that fundamentalism and progressivism find their answer in mysticism, the article divides Catholics into three ideal types, not to oppose them, but to integrate them: conservatism, progressivism, and spiritualism. |
