Summary, etc. To mark twenty years of the REIN (French Renal Epidemiology and Information Network), a summary report on the contributions of the French national end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) registry was produced. On social health inequalities (SHI), a number of key takeaways were identified. SHI exist throughout the journey of a patient with chronic kidney disease and manifest as regional inequalities in access to home-based or independent dialysis treatment and to transplant, preemptive or otherwise. SHI are observed among both adults and the pediatric population. Female sex appears to be associated with a disparity in access to kidney transplant.© 2022 Société francophone de néphrologie, dialyse et transplantation. Published by Elsevier Masson SAS.
