| Summary, etc. | Nous étudions une économie dans laquelle un bien final est produit grâce à deux secteurs. L’un utilise une ressource non renouvelable et polluante, l’autre une ressource renouvelable et propre. À chacune est associé un type de recherche spécifique. Les pouvoirs publics prélèvent une taxe carbone et, simultanément, subventionnent les deux secteurs de recherche. Nous étudions l’impact de ce dispositif sur le rythme d’extraction de la ressource et les émissions polluantes. La subvention à la recherche dédiée au secteur propre va à l’encontre des effets de la taxe carbone. Si cette taxe génère un paradoxe vert, la subvention le modère ; si la taxe ralentit l’extraction de la ressource, la subvention crée un paradoxe vert. |

| Summary, etc. | R&D Policies, Carbon Tax and Green Paradox We study an economy in which a final good is produced by two sectors. One uses a non-renewable and polluting resource, the other a renewable and clean resource. A specific type of research is associated with each sector. The public authorities levy a carbon tax and simultaneously subsidise both research sectors. We study the impact of such a policy scheme on the rate of resource extraction and emissions. In the clean sector, the research subsidy and the carbon tax have opposite effects. If the tax creates a green paradox, the subsidy moderates it; if the tax slows resource extraction, then the subsidy generates a green paradox. |
