Summary, etc. | Most theories consider rape to be the expression of the death instinct, the manifestation of free aggressiveness. A few less common theories consider rape from a perspective of the sex drive. This is the author’s perspective, envisioning rape as a search for organ pleasure whose aim is to curb psychic disorganization. This article presents several elements taken from the Rorschach and the TAT concerning the treatment of sex drive and masculine and feminine representations in men imprisoned for the rape of women or young girls. It was noted that, when confronted with sollicitations of a sexual nature, all the men presented an excitation which altered their capacities to make connections and retard reactions. The sex drive appeared to be difficult to represent in spite of the presence of a certain level of erotisation. Moreover, although the difference between the sexes does not help structure any of these subjects, psychic bisexuality has developed a bit in rapists of adult women as opposed to child molesters. This latter group, on the other hand, presents numerous perverse traits. |
