Summary, etc. By focusing on four “ordinary” French-speaking YouTube channels that deal with feminism and/or other gender-related topics, this study examines the conditions of production and circulation of specific discourses on what is a highly hierarchical online platform. The study will highlight the strategies deployed by video makers, both to gain visibility and to create—and maintain—an arena dedicated to online debates on specific topics. In addition to the analysis of a video corpus, three semi-structured interviews were conducted.
