| Summary, etc. | “Financing for the development of co-operative businesses in Mexico City” was among the most important programs that the Ministry of Labor in Mexico City developed in 2015 and 2016. In order to meet the goals of this program, the Ministry of Labor hired the services of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) to provide training and guidance to 136 co-operatives in 2015 and 281 in 2016. This paper aims to discuss the implementation of the model to stimulate and develop cooperative businesses. In order to present solid evidence, it was necessary to describe the existing relationship between the government (Ministry of Labor/STyFE), the academy (IPN), and the productive sector in this program offered by the Ministry of Labor. |
