| Summary, etc. | Psychotherapy is now faced with two important challenges. Their resolution will have a great influence on the identity of future psychotherapists. The first concerns the plurality of psychotherapeutic methods. The second relates to proof of treatment efficacity required by social authorities. The debate is thus socially and politically oriented. However the psychotherapist’s personal motivation in providing treatment must be taken into account so as to ensure that psychotherapy remains both scientific and creative. |
