520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. During the Yellow Vests movement, many criticisms of police practices circulated on social networks. This article questions the way in which some representations of law enforcement – the most critical ones – have gained more visibility than others, i.e. circulated more than others on Twitter. This examination articulates the role of actors, of the device and of content. It is based on empirical material of 1,500,976 tweets and 31,698 images that were shared 446,824 between January 26, 2019 and March 19, 2019. By analysing two modes of content circulation (retweeting and quoting), we show that, while many actors mobilize images to produce representations of law enforcement and policing on the social network, it is essentially those who produce the most critical representations that succeed to make them visible.
