| Summary, etc. | Cet article aborde les trajectoires des mobilisations dans la périphérie de Dakar (Sénégal) où les changements d’usage des terres provoquent souvent des dépossessions foncières. L’administration domaniale attribue en effet des terrains à des acteurs privés, mais sans toujours tenir compte des propriétaires ou des occupants antérieurs, villageois ou citadins. Ces derniers peuvent alors riposter pour garder leur contrôle sur la terre. À partir des expériences de deux collectifs, l’article analyse la résistance ouverte et les luttes qui ont lieu et qui reportent parfois les décisions d’éviction, faisant alors basculer les mobilisations dans une phase plus discrète. Les victimes de ces évictions cherchent de cette manière à jeter toute la lumière sur les manquements qui sont au cœur des conversions foncières dans le but d’intenter des actions en justice, ce qui pousse en retour les acteurs privés à tenter de contourner les résistances. |

| Summary, etc. | This article discusses the trajectories of protest movements in the outskirts of Dakar (Senegal), where changes in land use often lead to land dispossession. The land administration allocates land to private actors without always taking into account previous owners or occupants, whether villagers or city dwellers. The latter may then fight back to retain control over the land. Based on the experiences of two collectives, the article analyses the open resistance and struggles that are taking place, which sometimes delay eviction decisions, causing the protests to shift into a more discreet phase. The victims of these evictions seek to shed light on the shortcomings at the heart of land conversions in order to take legal action, which in turn pushes private actors to try to circumvent the resistance. |
