| Summary, etc. | La crise sanitaire de 2020 et les restrictions qui l’ont accompagnée ont constitué une épreuve singulière pour le Festival d’Avignon, pourtant habitué aux turbulences depuis sa création en 1947. Face à l’arrêt brutal de son activité, l’institution a adopté une stratégie de communication et d’adaptation progressive dans laquelle le numérique est devenu un espace d’expérimentation, de mémoire et de dialogue. Les réseaux sociaux ont permis de préserver la visibilité et l’identité, de maintenir le lien avec les parties prenantes et de poursuivre les missions de transmission, tout en révélant leurs limites. Cette étude éclaire ainsi les défis contemporains de la communication culturelle en temps de crise et les enseignements à en tirer pour penser l’avenir. |

| Summary, etc. | The health crisis of 2020 and the accompanying restrictions posed a unique challenge for the Festival d’Avignon, which has nonetheless been accustomed to turbulence since its founding in 1947. Faced with the abrupt halt of its activities, the institution adopted a strategy of progressive communication and adaptation, in which digital tools became a space for experimentation, memory, and dialogue. Social media helped preserve visibility and identity, maintain connections with stakeholders, and continue its missions of cultural transmisson, while also revealing their limitations. This study thus sheds light on the contemporary challenges of cultural communication in times of crisis and the lessons to be learned for thinking about the future. |
