| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Although employees play a key role in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, existing research still mainly focuses on their perceptions rather than assessing their actual level of commitment. This study aims to address this gap by developing a multidimensional scale that measures employees’ social commitment through affective, continuance, and normative components. The originality of this work lies in adapting these three dimensions to the CSR context in order to provide a deeper understanding of the motivational dynamics that shape employees’ adherence to social initiatives. The development of the scale was followed by an empirical validation conducted with 172 Tunisian companies operating in the industrial and service sectors. An exploratory factor analysis first identified the construct’s underlying structure, which was subsequently confirmed by a confirmatory factor analysis demonstrating its statistical robustness and internal consistency. The findings show that the scale clearly distinguishes the three forms of commitment and offers a reliable instrument for capturing the mechanisms underpinning employees’ social commitment. The study provides theoretical and methodological contributions by proposing an integrated analytical framework, as well as managerial implications for improving the deployment of CSR initiatives, particularly in complex organizational settings such as multi-actor supply chains. |
