| Summary, etc. | Cet article étudie les effets du contexte de crise liée à la Covid-19 sur la mobilisation en ligne des électeurs lors des municipales de 2020 en France. En mobilisant les données de l’enquête PELMEL (Participation électorale dans la métropole lilloise), conduite à l’issue du second tour du scrutin municipal, nous montrons que la participation numérique est restée minoritaire durant la campagne et cela malgré le contexte sanitaire. Cette participation répond d’ailleurs aux mêmes logiques qu’avant la crise : le niveau d’intérêt pour la politique des citoyens reste la variable la plus structurante. On constate toutefois une surmobilisation des jeunes en ligne, en particulier sur les réseaux sociaux et, à rebours de certains travaux, une participation relativement importante des répondants peu diplômés. Enfin, si les différentes pratiques politiques en ligne s’articulent entre elles, mais aussi avec des pratiques hors ligne, on observe, en matière d’activisme sur les réseaux sociaux, des variations dans le choix des plateformes et des pratiques principalement liées à l’âge et à des variables politiques. |

| Summary, etc. | This article examines the effects of the Covid 19 crisis on voters’ online mobilization during the 2020 municipal elections in France. It draws on data from the PELMEL survey ( Participation électorale dans la métropole lilloise, Electoral participation in the Lille metropolitan area) conducted after the second round of the 2020 municipal elections and shows that online political participation remained minimal during the electoral campaign, despite the health crisis. Moreover, the patterns of online political participation barely differed from those of more traditional offline participation, indicating that citizens’ level of interest in politics remains the main determinant of online activism. Higher levels of online mobilization of young citizens were however observed, especially on social media, and contrary to the findings of other studies, there was a relatively high participation rate of respondents with low levels of education. Finally, even when different online political practices do emerge, we observe that the modes of engagement vary depending on the platforms. |
