| Summary, etc. | Au départ du travail réalisé dans le cadre de l’exposition « Oh ! Ça ne coule pas de source » organisée au Musée bruxellois des Industries et du Travail en 2021-2022, ce court article propose de porter un regard distancié sur le système socio-hydrique bruxellois et de mettre en perspective les transformations qu’il connait depuis une vingtaine d’années. Le coût croissant des infrastructures de l’eau (stations d’épuration, collecteurs d’eaux usées), couplé à la paupérisation d’une grande partie de la population bruxelloise, secoue profondément le modèle contemporain de gestion de l’eau quotidienne ébauché à partir de la findu 19e siècle et mis en œuvre principalement après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on work carried out in the context of the exhibition ‘Oh ! Ça ne coule pas de source’ organised at the Musée bruxellois des Industries et du Travail in 2021-2022, this brief article proposes to take a distanced look at Brussels’ socio-hydric system and to put into perspective the transformations it has undergone over the last twenty years. The rising cost of water infrastructure (water treatment plants, sewers), coupled with the impoverishment of a large part of the Brussels population, is profoundly shaking up the contemporary model for everyday water supply management, which was first sketched out at the end of the 19th century and implemented mainly after the Second World War. |
