| Summary, etc. | En dépit de son caractère affiché d’échantillon, le Specimen dynamicum, que Leibniz publie dans les Acta eruditorum de 1695, présente des apports conceptuels importants qui semblent marquer un tournant décisif dans la catégorisation ontologique du mouvement local, par lequel se traduit tout changement dans les corps. Nous nous proposons d’interroger, d’une part, la disjonction entre les forces dérivatives (propres à la production du mouvement local) et les forces primitives, et, d’autre part, la caractérisation de la passivité inhérente à la matière première comme résistance au mouvement. |

| Summary, etc. | Despite its title, Leibniz’s Specimen dynamicum, published in the 1695 Acta eruditorum, brings important conceptual innovations. It seems in particular to reveal a decisive shift in the ontological status that Leibniz grants to local motion, by which every corporeal change is to be explained. On the one hand, I propose to question the very disjunction between derivative forces (which produce local motion) and primitive forces. On the other hand, I will question the conception of passivity, which characterizes primary matter, as resistance to motion. |
