| Summary, etc. | While the literature on the creation of digital content has focused on influencers, few studies deal with the professional and commercial use of internet by self-employed individuals seeking customers for their products or services. This article proposes to fill this gap by considering the case of coaches specializing in career changes. By analysing how web marketing is transforming the work of freelancers, it highlights the gap between the very positive image projected by the digital content created by these professionals, and the precariousness of their working and employment conditions. The emotional, financial, and time investment required to create content is itself a factor of precariousness. In particular, the promises of entrepreneurial success conveyed by web marketing training courses – whose clients are coaches (but also consultants, therapists, etc.) – contribute to the development of aspirational work. Web marketing is thus fostering the development of precarious labour markets. |

| Summary, etc. | Alors que la littérature sur la création de contenus numériques s’est concentrée sur les influenceurs et les influenceuses, peu de travaux traitent des usages professionnels et marchands d’internet par des indépendants recherchant des clients pour vendre leurs produits ou services. À partir du cas des coachs spécialisées dans les reconversions professionnelles, l’article propose de combler ce manque. En analysant comment le webmarketing transforme le travail des indépendants, il met en lumière l’écart entre l’image très positive renvoyée par les contenus numériques créés par ces professionnelles et la précarité de leurs conditions de travail et d’emploi. L’investissement temporel, émotionnel et financier requis par la création de contenus apparaît lui-même comme un facteur de précarisation. En particulier, les promesses de réussite entrepreneuriale véhiculées par les formations au webmarketing – dont les clients sont les coachs (mais aussi les consultants, les thérapeutes…) – contribue au développement d’un travail aspirationnel. Ainsi, le webmarketing favorise le développement de marchés du travail précaires. |
