| Summary, etc. | L’article explore les transformations des espaces portuaires et urbains du Havre du xixe au xxie siècle, en mettant en lumière les dynamiques économiques, sociales et environnementales qui ont façonné la ville. Initialement port militaire, Le Havre s’est progressivement affirmé comme un port commercial majeur, avant de subir une reconstruction après les destructions de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Ces évolutions reflètent l’adaptation aux défis technologiques, économiques et climatiques. Sur le plan environnemental, la ville a toujours été vulnérable aux tempêtes, inondations et submersions marines, des risques amplifiés par le dérèglement climatique. Des mesures préventives et des infrastructures modernes ont été mises en place pour renforcer la résilience. D’un point de vue pédagogique, l’exemple du Havre permet de relier histoire et géographie pour comprendre les enjeux contemporains. Les approches interactives, comme les récits et les jeux de rôle, favorisent l’engagement des élèves et leur réflexion sur les solutions face aux défis climatiques, tout en développant leurs compétences citoyennes. |

| Summary, etc. | This article explores the transformations of Le Havre’s port and urban areas from the 19th to the 21st century, highlighting the economic, social and environmental dynamics that have shaped the city. Initially a military port, Le Havre gradually established itself as a major commercial port before undergoing reconstruction after the destruction of the Second World War. These developments reflect the city’s adaptation to technological, economic and climatic challenges. Environmentally, the city has always been vulnerable to storms, floods and sea surges, risks that have been amplified by climate change. Preventive measures and modern infrastructure have been put in place to strengthen resilience. From an educational perspective, the example of Le Havre allows history and geography to be linked in order to understand contemporary issues. Interactive approaches, such as storytelling and role-playing, encourage pupils to engage and reflect on solutions to climate challenges, while developing their civic skills. |
