Summary, etc. | Management tools are a central part of organizational dynamics. Far from being neutral, they structure organizations and behaviors. Inspired by critical management studies, many scholars have stressed the constraining, even disciplinary, power of management tools. Drawing on a longitudinal case study which relates to a training agency, this paper points out that management tools are both constraining and enabling. It describes the necessary conditions to make management tools a lever of organizational learning. |
