Summary, etc. In protracted crisis areas, humanitarian organizations often deliver aid thanks to local organizations, without considering these organizations’ ability to carry out such a mission. To what extent are local organizations, which are affected by the conflict, able to function properly? The article relies on an innovative conceptual framework which calls upon the concept of collective capabilities to define the resilience of local organizations. On this basis, it empirically identifies the characteristics of collective resilience in order to analyze the effects of conflicts on collective dynamics. The article underlines the diversity of local organizations in terms of resilience abilities, and highlights lines of thought as to how local organizations can be supported in such a context.
