520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This article underlines the plurality of an economic approach to rationality. Far from the caricature of the homo economicus, thanks to a very fruitful interdisciplinary exchange (Kahneman 1979) the economic approach has evolved into an attempt to understand a wide range of human choices, which may have their “reasons” (Mises 1949; Boudon 2004), even if they follow other goals than the simple quest for personal well-being, and another logic than pure reason. Irrational choices, characterized here by the incompatibility between goals and means, therefore concern economists, who, by trying to understand them, can generate ideas for management practice (Sen 1993).
