520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The purpose of this article is to examine the effect of the dimensions of leader-member exchange, highlighted by Liden and Maslyn (1998), on the work performance of Cameroonian public sector employees. To this end, a survey of 340 public servants was conducted. The tests were carried out using factor analysis and the structural equation method. They revealed three main results: high quality professional relations between leaders and members lead to better performance by subordinates in their jobs; affection and loyalty have a positive and significant influence on member work performance; the consideration of expectations (equity, feedback, mentoring) in managerial and organizational practices influences the exchange relations between leaders and members and optimizes the performance of members in the Cameroonian public administration.
