| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | The author explains the importance of pets (dogs, cats, horses, dolphins and parrots) in the affective security of a child. They stimulate its affective, relational and social development, and especially its core-competencies (sustained visual attention, impulse to interaction, affiliative behaviours, capacity to reproduce and imitate, structured organisation of gestures). They may even free its cognitive processes and intellectual resources. |
