Summary, etc. RésuméÀ partir de cinq groupes d’animaux familiers (chien, chat, cheval, dauphin et perroquet), cet article explique comment le contact avec ces animaux contribue à la sécurité affective de l’enfant, stimule son développement affectif, relationnel et social, en particulier ses compétences-socles (l’attention visuelle soutenue, l’élan à l’interaction, les comportements affiliatifs, la capacité de reproduire et d’imiter, l’organisation structurée du geste). Enfin, l’auteur s’attache à montrer que l’animal libère aussi les processus cognitifs et les ressources intellectuelles de l’enfant.
