| Summary, etc. | Avec l’expression « une histoire du salut différenciée », Claude Geffré a proposé une formule aussi stimulante qu’exigeante. Or, s’il est impossible d’identifier l’histoire et le salut, il est également impossible de les séparer. La relecture de l’œuvre du théologien dominicain permet de dégager des pistes fructueuses pour réfléchir à des questions comme celle de la Révélation divine et sa compréhension humaine, celle du rapport entre Création, Rédemption et Incarnation ou encore celle de la spiritualité chrétienne, vivant concrètement une foi qui vise l’universalité et croit le monde promis à la Récapitulation de toute chose dans le Christ. Le christianisme peut être pensé comme une religion de la mise en valeur des différences dans la mesure ou celles-ci sont l’expression de la plénitude de Dieu qui porte les différences dans une unité salvifique. |

If history and salvation are not to be identified with each other, neither can they be separated. Re-reading the Dominican theologian’s work allows for clearing the way to fruitful ideas for reflecting on questions such as Divine Revelation and human comprehension; the relationship between Creation, Redemption and Incarnation; more, on Christian spirituality, a concrete living out of a faith that both aims to be universal and believes it will inherit the earth when all things are brought together under Christ. Christianity may be conceived of as a religion of giving value to differences inasmuch as they express God’s fullness which sustains differences in salvific unity. |
