Summary, etc. With its population gradually ageing, Spain is faced with growing demand in terms of support and care for seniors. Since the 1990s the workforce in this sector has primarily consisted of women immigrants, notably from Latin America. With these women now nearing retirement age, this article focuses on how they envision their future, either to remain in their immigration country or to return to their country of origin. Based on a qualitative methodology, the article begins with an analysis of the influence of salaried employment on the ageing and health of Ecuadorian women working with seniors in Madrid. It then addresses changes in the women’s migration plans relative to the prospect of their own ageing. It concludes with a review of the access to retirement of these individuals as part of their migration paths and their life courses in the care sector.
