| Summary, etc. | Unlike other academic disciplines, management science, whether in an English- or French-speaking context, appears to be totally absent from research on terrorist groups as organizations. Through an exploratory study of Islamic State, our article aims to highlight the fact that management science has all the legitimacy it needs to apply its duly tested models and concepts to this particular type of organization, thus developing a better understanding of their internal structures and strategies in order to counter them more effectively. |
