520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Many different schemes have been introduced in the past to trial new forms of organization or new financing models in the healthcare system. These include care networks, new ways of remunerating care homes, telemedicine, and coordinating care pathways for older adults at risk of loss of autonomy (PAERPA), to name but a few. But article 51 of the 2018 French Social Security Financing Law differs from its predecessors in bringing a new approach to conducting experiments, with a view to making them genuine levers of large-scale change in organizations and practices. The projects that are currently being implemented under this scheme, or that are set to be rolled out over the coming months, are proof of this new concept and stance. But only time will tell whether the goal of transforming the healthcare system can be achieved.
