Summary, etc. Objectives: Few studies have focused on the quality of male sexual function following immediate surgical treatment of penile fractures. The aim of this study was to evaluate male sexual function and, more specifically, erectile function following surgical treatment of penile fractures and to study predictive factors of postoperative erectile dysfunction. Methods: This was a single-center, cross-sectional, retrospective study that included twenty-eight patients having previously undergone penile fracture surgery in our urology department over a period of six years. In order to evaluate the impact of surgical treatment on sexual function, the Arabic version of the IIEF-15 (International Index of Erectile Function-15) questionnaire and the EHGS (Erection Hardness Grading Scale) score were used. Results: The mean age of patients was 42.6 years. The most common mechanism found was misstep of coitus. Erectile dysfunction was observed in nine patients with a severe form in one case. There was a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-operative IIEF-15 and EHGS scores. According to a multivariate study, there was no independent factor of erectile dysfunction following penile fracture surgery. Conclusion: Penile fractures have an impact on male sexual function and on erectile function in particular. This condition should be managed rapidly in combination with psychological assistance.
