Summary, etc. Cardiac hydatid cyst is a rare but potentially serious parasitic disease. Its clinical presentation is often atypical, and the infection can remain asymptomatic for a long time. The diagnosis can be made during systematic echocardiography or when complications occur, such as pericardial effusion or heart conduction disorders. We report a case of cardiac hydatid cyst revealed by pericardial effusion caused by the rupture of hydatid cyst in the pericardium.
