Summary, etc. A “specialized family examination” was developed by a working group comprising judges, psychologists and psychiatrists, with the advice of other actors in the judicial system, such as lawyers, justice educators, judicial review services, and youth protection services. This analysis aims to contribute a family interpretation to judicial decisions which concern parents on trial for sexual abuses on minors in the family. The article provides the double point of view of judges and clinicians on this new experience in the department.
