Summary, etc. | Social action is political. I discovered this both through my own experience and by reading authors from Vincent de Paul to modern philosophers. Social action is political because it defends a particular idea of mankind, as well as values such as otherness that make up the fabric of social relations. Throughout our history, those like Bernard Lory, René Lenoir, Nicole Questiaux, Pierre Gauthier, Jean-Michel Belorgey, and many more have constantly insisted on the true meaning of social action, which should never be thought of simply as “assistance.” |
