| Summary, etc. | La « dividualité » (au sens de F. Schlegel et surtout d’E.T.A. Hoffmann) représente sur le plan littéraire et biographique l’époque du Romantisme en tant qu’époque chargée d’une haute tension politique et sociale d’où résulte, avec la tournure crypto-réaliste de l’auteur, le « satirischer Märchenroman » (H. Steinecke), Klein Zaches. Par la transposition – sous la pression de la censure d’État et de ce que l’on appelle la poursuite pénale contre les démagogues – dans la fiction du conte de fées, le « skeptischer Phantast » (R. Safranski) caricature et ironise d’une manière subtile et subversive, parfois par des pointes satiriques, les mécanismes des L umières tardives, le monde courtisan-féodal, la prudhommerie des hommes de science et des bourgeois au service de l’ordre étatique et dessine en même temps une existence d’artiste romantique qui trouve sa réalisation dans la seule « Selbstabsonderung » (Novalis) et dans l’espace de liberté intellectuelle de la poésie, ce qui permet au discours du conte de fées d’Hoffmann de pragmatiser des paradigmes archéoromantiques (d’un Novalis et d’un F. Schlegel) pour les situer dans un nouveau contexte littéraire. |

| Summary, etc. | It is especially E.T.A. Hoffmann’s dividuality (according to the spirit of F. Schlegel) that literary and biographically represents the epoch of Romanticism as a time of political and social tension which brings about the “satirischen Märchenroman” (H. Steinecke) Klein Zaches due to its author’s crypto-realistic turn. By transposing social and political reality to the fiction of the fairytale fantasy – pressurised by state censorship and the so called demagogue persecution – the “skeptische Phantast” (R. Safranski) in an subtle manner caricatures and ironically subverts, at times with satiric digs, the mechanisms of late Enlightenment, of the courtly-feudal world, and of the philistinism of scientists and civilians standing in service of the state. At the same time, he creates a romantic artistic state of being which finds its self-realization only in “Selbstabsonderung” (Novalis) and in the intellectual freedom of poetry. However, in Hoffmann’s fantastic discourse arch-romantic paradigms (as of Novalis and F. Schlegel) are pragmatically modified and placed within a new (literary) context. |
