| Summary, etc. | L’archivage numérique est apparu comme un enjeu majeur de la science au tournant du 21e siècle. Au sein des sciences sociales, la question plus spécifique des données quantitatives n’échappe pas à ce questionnement. Mais tout autant que la sauvegarde des données, la question de l’accès à ces archives se pose. C’est sous cet angle que nous avons rédigé cet article, en proposant une réflexion sur l’accès aux données qui prend appui sur deux retours d’expérience de services d’accompagnement des chercheurs dans l’accès aux données. Le premier exemple reprend l’initiative française d’archives de données issues de la statistique publique, conçues au sein du CNRS et qui vise à archiver et diffuser ces données et s’accompagne du déploiement de plateformes universitaires. Le second est une initiative de chercheurs qui vise à rendre accessible au plus grand nombre les données de l’ensemble des pays méditerranéens à un public le plus large possible, mais en respectant les exigences scientifiques de documentation et d’exploitation rigoureuse des données. L’article évoque donc les différentes dimensions du “FAIR” des données, en insistant sur la question de l’accessibilité. |

| Summary, etc. | Digital archiving has emerged as a major issue for science at the turn of the 21st century. Within the social sciences, the more specific question of quantitative data is not exempt from this challenge. But just as much as the preservation of data, the question of access to these archives arises. It is from this perspective that we have written this article, proposing a reflection on access to data based on two experiences of support services for researchers in accessing data. The first example takes up the French initiative to archive and disseminate data from official statistics, designed within the CNRS and aimed at archiving and disseminating, and involves the deployment of university platforms. The second is a research project that aims to make data from all Mediterranean countries accessible to the widest possible audience, while respecting the scientific requirements of documentation and rigorous data exploitation. The article therefore discusses the different dimensions of “FAIR” data, with emphasis on the issue of Access. |
