Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | SUMMARY Pragmatic and discursive disorders in dysphasia The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the heterogeneity of developmental language disorders (or SLI), including the pragmatic and discursive aspects of language, from an interactionist perspective of language development. The main pragmatic and discourse disorders are defined and described. Pragmatic disorders concern conversational skills (turn taking, topics, conversational breakdowns and their repairs, adjacent pairs such as question-response, etc.). In addition, the relationship between pragmatic and linguistic disorders is discussed. Discourse disorders concern the organization and the linguistic function of discourses (in particular planification, cohesion and connection). The influence of the type of discourse on these components is demonstrated. |
