| Summary, etc. | Dans le cadre de l’élaboration de la stratégie française sur le captage et stockage du dioxyde de carbone, un état des lieux des projets européens de stockage géologique du dioxyde de carbone a été réalisé par les auteurs dans le récent rapport « Mission sur les projets européens de stockage géologique de carbone » [CGE, 2024], en se focalisant tout particulièrement sur la Norvège, le Danemark, les Pays-Bas, l’Italie et la Grèce. Cet article présente une synthèse de ce panorama et fait état des problématiques et enjeux actuels liés à la mise en œuvre concrète d’une chaîne de valeur du CCS en Europe : sa complexité, les difficultés de lancement des projets, les coûts d’abattement du CO2 et le traitement des flux de CO2. |

| Summary, etc. | As part of the development of the French strategy on carbon capture and storage, the authors of the recent report “Mission on European Geological Carbon Storage Projects” conducted an inventory of geological CO2 storage projects in Europe, with a particular focus on Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, and Greece. The article presents a summary of their review, and outlines the current issues and challenges involved in the concrete implementation of a CCS value chain in Europe : its complexity, the difficulties in getting projects off the ground, the costs of CO2 abatement, and the management of CO2 flows. |
