| Summary, etc. | Dans ce dossier consacré à l’évolution de la productivité, André-Yves Portnoff apporte ici un éclairage différent, visant à relativiser l’importance accordée à la productivité, telle qu’elle est aujourd’hui mesurée à l’aune d’indicateurs économiques. Il entend montrer notamment que tout un pan de la révolution numérique n’est pas pris en compte par les indicateurs de productivité actuels : c’est cette « révolution occultée » (qui d’ailleurs a commencé bien avant la vague numérique), reposant sur des facteurs immatériels, plus qualitatifs que quantitatifs, qu’il présente ici brièvement. Que ce soit en termes de management des ressources humaines, d’organisation interne des entreprises et de gestion de leurs relations externes, de promotion de l’innovation, etc., le numérique offre de multiples opportunités qui ne sont pas appréciées à leur juste valeur dans les indicateurs classiques, alors pourtant qu’elles constituent de réels facteurs de croissance et de bonne santé économique à long terme pour les organisations. | Summary, etc. | In this dossier on productivity and how it has changed over time, André-Yves Portnoff looks at matters from a fresh angle, aiming to downplay the importance accorded to productivity as currently measured by economic indicators. He aims to show, among other things, that a whole swathe of the digital revolution isn’t accounted for by current productivity indicators. It is this “hidden revolution”, resting on intangible factors that are more qualitative than quantitative (a revolution which actually began way before the so-called “digital wave”), that he outlines here. Whether in terms of the management of human resources, the internal organization of companies and the management of their external relations, the promotion of innovation etc., digital technology offers many opportunities that aren’t adequately reflected in the classical indicators, even though they represent genuine drivers of growth and of long-term economic good health for organizations. |
