| Summary, etc. | Il était une fois une famille d’ours polaires. Ainsi aurait pu commencer Etüden im Schnee (2014) de Yoko Tawada. L’écrivaine se consacre toutefois à l’exophonie et raconte, sur le ton du réalisme magique, l’histoire d’une grand-mère, de sa fille Toska et de son petit-fils Knut. Plusieurs voix et plusieurs langages permettent au texte de conduire le lectorat, un texte qui critique l’environnement et s’inscrit dans la tendance littéraire de l’ ecocriticism. En écrivant des jeux exophones de langage, Tawada a pour objectif une compréhension nouvelle des animaux et met en exergue la question de savoir si l’exophonie peut servir la nature. Cet article analyse alors les environnements de l’autrice sur deux plans : l’accent est d’abord mis sur la relation animal-humain et sur l’acrobatie de sa resignification ; puis, l’intérêt est porté sur le système écologico-littéraire du langage, c’est-à-dire un système langagier environnemental à travers l’exophonie. |

| Summary, etc. | Once upon a time, there lived a family of polar bears. This is how Yoko Tawada’s Etüden im Schnee (2014) could have begun. Instead, the writer devotes herself to exophony and tells us, through the lens of magical realism, the story of a grandmother, her daughter Toska and her grandson Knut. Polyphonic and polyglot, the text steers the readers through an environmental critique that situates itself within the literary trend to ecocriticism. Through playing with language exophonically, Tawada aims at understanding animals afresh, and sheds light on the question of exophony as being at the service of nature. Consequently, this paper analyzes the author’s environments on two levels: It focuses first on the relationship between animals and humans and the acrobatics involved in its resignification, and second on the literary-ecological system of language, that is, an exophony-influenced language of the environment. |

| Summary, etc. | Es war einmal eine Polarbärenfamilie. So hätte Yoko Tawadas Etüden im Schnee (2014) anfangen können. Die Schriftstellerin widmet sich jedoch der Exophonie und erzählt im Sinne des magischen Realismus die Geschichte einer Großmutter, ihrer Tochter Toska und ihres Enkelsohns Knut. Mehrstimmig und mehrsprachig wendet sich der Text, der eine Kritik der Umwelt ausübt und sich in die literarische Tendenz des ecocriticism einordnen lässt, an das Lesepublikum. Mit exophonen Sprachspielen experimentierend, zielt Tawada auf ein neues Verständnis der Tiere ab und rückt die Frage, auf welche Weise Exophonie der Natur dienen kann, ins Licht. Dieser Beitrag analysiert somit die Umwelten der Autorin auf zwei Ebenen: Zuerst wird der Akzent auf die Tier-Mensch-Beziehung sowie die Akrobatik der Umdeutung dieser Beziehung gelegt und danach wird das literarisch-ökologische Sprachsystem, d.h. ein Umweltsprachsystem durch Exophonie, gesondert thematisiert. |
