| Summary, etc. | Partant du constat que tout usage d’un instrument de gestion est profondément ambivalent (c’est-à-dire ambigu sur le plan des moyens et des fins), cet article propose une grille d’analyse de leurs usages. Sur l’axe Rationnel, un outil est mobilisé par un utilisateur comme moyen pour produire efficacement un bien ou un service. Sur l’axe socio-psychologique, un outil est mobilisé pour toutes sortes de raisons (politiques, idéologiques, affectives, ludiques, etc.). L’usage est alors le fruit de tensions sur ces deux axes. En appliquant cette grille d’analyse au cas d’un outil de reporting hospitalier, nous montrons qu’il est possible d’identifier les tensions qui le traversent et en expliquent l’usage ou le rejet. |

On the rational axis, a tool is mobilized by a user as a means for an efficient production of a commodity or a service. On the socio-psychological axis, a tool is mobilized for various reasons (political, ideological, emotional, recreational, etc.). The use is then the result of tensions on both axes. Applying this analytical framework to the case of a hospital reporting tool, we show that it is possible to identify the tensions running through it, which explains its uses or rejections. |
