Summary, etc. | On a admis l’extension de la notion de risque professionnel initialement restreinte à la santé et à la sécurité au travail à une conception plus globale, comprenant la santé mentale. La responsabilité de l’employeur à l’égard de ses collaborateurs est alors engagée dans l’évaluation des conséquences des orientations politiques des organisations. La question des risques psycho-sociaux est à présent à l’agenda des organisations publiques, c’est le cas pour les universités. L’étude empirique que nous exposons ici, montre pourtant que la majorité des situations critiques signalées dans une université, sont d’abord des conflits interindividuels. Concernés au premier chef, parfois stigmatisés comme facteurs de stress, les managers parviennent difficilement à comprendre et à faire face à ces risques. Aborder les risques psycho-sociaux nécessite donc, à notre sens, une requalification de sa dimension organisationnelle et managériale afin de susciter des réponses à la hauteur des enjeux de cette question. |

Summary, etc. | The dark side of psychosocial risks: for a managerial and organizational requalificationProfessional risk is a notion that was initially restricted to the fields of health and safety at work, and then became considered in a more extended way, including mental health. Therefore, employers’ responsibility towards their staff also includes internal consequences of strategic or organizational orientations. The question of psychosocial risks is raised more and more in public organizations policies. The empirical study presented in this article, shows nevertheless that most of the critical situations described in the case of a particular public university, are above all related to interpersonal conflicts. The managers, who sometimes are stigmatized as factors of stress, succeed with difficulty in understanding and in facing these risks. Consequently, in order to approach the psychosocial risks, we suggest that a requalification of organizational and managerial dimensions is requested. It would be the condition for bringing appropriate answers, knowing how high are the stakes related to this question. |
