| Summary, etc. | Cet article vise à étudier le monde du travail migrant à travers l’analyse des sources judiciaires produites par la section du bâtiment du conseil de prud’hommes du département de la Seine dans l’entre-deux-guerres. L’objectif est de comprendre si les étrangers revendiquaient les droits sociaux progressivement introduits dans la législation française à cette époque. Qui étaient les travailleurs italiens qui se tournent alors vers les prud’hommes ? Quelles étaient les revendications à la base de leur action judiciaire ? Pour répondre à ces questions, les sources judiciaires sont ici étudiées à travers des méthodologies quantitatives utilisées très rarement jusqu’à maintenant dans les recherches sur la justice civile et commerciale. |

| Summary, etc. | This article studies the world of migrant labour through the analysis of judicial sources produced by the labour courts ( conseil de prud’hommes) of the Seine department during the interwar period. The aim is to determine whether Italian workers were claiming the social rights being progressively introduced into French legislation at that time. Who were the migrants who turned to the prud’hommes? What rights were they claiming through their legal action? To answer these questions, the judicial sources are studied here through quantitative methodologies rarely used until now in research on civil and commercial justice. |
