| Summary, etc. | Les progrès constants réalisés dans la prise en charge des cancers ont pour conséquence une amélioration du pronostic des patients, mais aussi une augmentation du coût de la prise en charge, atteignant 15,6 milliards d’euros par an, avec un accroissement de 5,2 %/an. Cette évolution procède de l’allongement de la durée de vie des patients et d’une augmentation du coût des traitements. En France, l’accès au remboursement et la fixation du prix des médicaments reposent sur le service médical rendu (SMR) et l’amélioration du SMR (ASMR) évalués par la Commission de la transparence de la Haute Autorité de santé (HAS). La fixation du prix des médicaments est quant à elle assurée par le Comité des produits de santé (CEPS), sur la base de l’ASMR, du prix des comparateurs, du volume et des conditions de vente du médicament, et de l’évaluation médico-économique, tout en veillant à respecter l’Objectif national des dépenses d’assurance-maladie, votée par le Parlement, qui fixe l’augmentation maximale des dépenses de santé pour l’année à venir. Le cas du lymphome folliculaire est un bon exemple des pathologies cancéreuses, caractérisées par une tendance à la chronicisation, et une complexification des traitements, notamment dans l’enchaînement des lignes successives. |

| Summary, etc. | The constant progress made in the management of cancers has the consequence of increasing the cost caused by these pathologies. The cost of the only drugs used in this field increases globally by 7.4% per year, and could represent $ 150 billion in 2020. This evolution is due to the longer life of patients and an increase in the cost of drugs. In France, reimbursement access and price determination are based on the therapeutic value (SMR : service medical rendu) and the added benefit value (ASMR: amélioration du service médical rendu), both evaluated by the Transparency Committee of the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS). The price of drug is determined by negociations between the laboratory and the Economic Committee for Health Products (CEPS : comité economique des produits de santé), in order to respect National Health Insurance Expenses Target, voted by Parliament, which sets the maximum increase in health expenditure for the coming year. The case of follicular lymphoma is exemplary of cancerous pathologies, characterized by a tendency to chronicization, and a complexity of treatments, especially in the sequence of successive lines. |
