Ces travaux se sont caractérisés par la volonté d’articuler l’analyse de la trajectoire et de la structure des controverses vaccinales et l’étude des rapports ordinaires aux vaccins. Son travail a notamment porté sur la diversité des formes de mises en cause des vaccins, leurs degrés de radicalité et les ontologies médicales et politiques sur lesquelles elles s’appuient. Pointer le regard vers les différentes formes de critiques et de mises en cause des vaccins souligne la diversité des manières dont les acteurs perçoivent la connexion entre ce qui relève de la science et ce qui relève du politique. Enfin, il évoque certains enjeux que pose le fait de faire des sciences sociales sur un sujet qui intéresse particulièrement les mondes médicaux et politiques. |

| Summary, etc. | In this interview, sociologist Jeremy K. Ward reflects upon his research on vaccines. His work has been characterised by the desire to combine an analysis of the trajectory and structure of vaccine controversies and the study of ordinary relationships to vaccines. His research has focused on the diversity of the forms of questioning of vaccines along with their degrees of radicality and the medical and political ontologies on which they are based. Focusing on the different forms of criticism and modes of questioning of vaccines, he highlights the myriad ways in which actors perceive the connection between what is scientific and what is political. Lastly, he discusses some specific issues that arise when conducting social science research on a subject of particular interest to the medical and political worlds. |
