| Summary, etc. | La nanomédecine ouvre de nouvelles perspectives diagnostiques et thérapeutiques. Si pour l’instant peu de nanoproduits de santé sont sur le marché, plus d’une centaine sont en cours d’essais cliniques, principalement en oncologie. De fait, l’incertitude qui caractérise la connaissance des risques relatifs aux nanoparticules comme la difficulté d’adapter au cas par cas les méthodologies d’évaluation à la singularité de chacune d’entre elles, affectent en retour l’établissement de la balance bénéfice-risque, préalable à toute commercialisation. L’objectif de l’étude est de montrer que, face à l’écueil de l’évaluation des risques, la mesure du bénéfice global, conjuguant efficacité médicale et bénéfice de vie pour les patients, dès l’amont de la conception du nanoproduit, devient cruciale pour la construction de la balance et devrait être appréhendée de ce fait comme la condition normative clé de son développement. |

So far, even if few health nanoproducts are on the market, more than a hundred are in clinical trials, mainly in oncology. In fact, the uncertainty that characterizes the knowledge of risks related to nanoparticles, such as the difficulty of adapting evaluation methodologies to the singularity of each of them, in turn, affects the establishment of the benefit-risk balance, prior to any marketing. The objective of this study is to show that, facing the pitfall of risk assessment, the measurement of a global benefit, combining medical efficacity and life benefit for patients, from the very beginning of the nanoproduct design, becomes crucial for the construction of the balance and should be apprehended as the key normative condition of its development. |
