| Summary, etc. | The phenomenon of the “brain drain” in Italy is becoming an expression of market changes. In this climate that involves the whole professional world, to which Italy seems to adapt with difficulty, “expert” workers increase their professional empowerment by emigrating. This generation of “drained brains,” in fact, lives in uncertainty, linked to the decision to move abroad, in which the individual is aware of the outcomes of the decision but is unaware of the probabilities linked to the different outcomes (Lopes 1983). Indeed, different aspects come into play in the decision-making process, but since the decisions made by the “brains planning on leaving” can be considered risky decisions, we will analyze the psychological literature of reference on risk perception and propensity, on individual differences in traits, and on the influence of the affective/emotional dimension. After analyzing the literature on decision making, the study aims to explore how question and answer (Q&A) websites dedicated to the Italian brain drain become decision-making spaces, based on listening to other people’s experiences. The methodology is quantitative and qualitative. For the quantitative part, a sentiment analysis was carried out (Pang & Lee 2008); for the qualitative part, a diatextual analysis was performed (Manuti & Mininni 2017). |

| Summary, etc. | Il fenomeno della “fuga dei cervelli” in Italia sta diventando espressione dei cambiamenti del mercato. In questo clima che coinvolge tutto il mondo professionale, a cui l’Italia sembra adeguarsi con difficoltà, i lavoratori “competenti” aumentano l’empowerment professionale emigrando. Questa generazione di “cervelli drenati”, infatti, vive nell’incertezza, legata alla decisione del trasferimento all’estero, nella quale l’individuo conosce gli esiti della scelta, ma è all’oscuro delle probabilità legate ai diversi esiti (Lopes, 1983). Invero, nel processo di decision making entrano in gioco diversi aspetti, ma poichè le decisioni effettuate dai “cervelli che progettano di fuggire” si collocano, nel senso comune, all’interno delle decisioni rischiose, si analizzerà la letteratura psicologica di riferimento sulla percezione e propensione al rischio, sulle differenze individuali di tratto e sull’influenza della dimensione affettiva/emotiva. Dopo aver analizzato la letteratura sul decision making, lo studio mira ad esplorare come i siti di Domande e Risposte (Q&A), dedicati ai cervelli in fuga italiani, diventano degli spazi che permettono di prendere decisioni, partendo dall’ascolto dell’esperienza altrui. La metodologia è quanti-qualitativa. Per la parte quantitativa, è stata stata svolta una Sentiment Analysis (Pang & Lee, 2008); per la parte qualitativa, invece, è stata effettuata un’Analisi Diatestule (Manuti & Mininni, 2017). |
