| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe diagnostic biochimique des maladies héréditaires du métabolisme nécessite la détection et l’identification simultanées d’un grand nombre de composés d’où l’intérêt des profils métaboliques. Le profil des acylcarnitines permet l’identification et la quantification de plus de trente composés. Dans le cadre du processus d’accréditation des examens de biologie médicale selon la norme NF EN ISO 15189, le groupe issu de la Société française pour l’étude des erreurs innées du métabolisme (SFEIM), recommande une démarche pour accréditer le profil des acylcarnitines. Les paramètres de validation et des recommandations sont discutés dans ce cadre spécifique. |

| Summary, etc. | Biochemical diagnosis of hereditary metabolic diseases requires the detection and simultaneous identification of a large number of compounds, hence the interest in metabolic profiles. Acylcarnitine profile allows the identification and quantification of more than thirty compounds. As part of the accreditation process for medical biology examinations according to standard NF EN ISO 15189, the group from SFEIM recommends an approach to accredit acylcarnitine profile. Validation parameters and recommendations are discussed in this specific framework. |
