We present the case of a 33-year-old female patient diagnosed with central adrenal insufficiency (CAI), where methadone use was identified as the underlying cause after ruling out known etiologies. This article aims to enhance awareness among prescribing clinicians and medical professionals regarding the potential occurrence of AI in patients undergoing methadone treatment. This is especially pertinent given the widespread utilization of methadone in France for managing drug withdrawal. |

| Summary, etc. | L’insuffisance surrénalienne secondaire aux opioïdes demeure encore insuffisamment reconnue dans la littérature. Nous présentons ici le cas d’une patiente de 33 ans chez qui une insuffisance surrénalienne centrale (ISC) a été diagnostiquée. Après avoir éliminé les causes connues d’ISC, la prise de méthadone a finalement été incriminée. L’objectif de cet article est de sensibiliser les cliniciens prescripteurs et les biologistes médicaux à la possibilité d’une ISC chez les patients traités par méthadone, en particulier en raison de l’utilisation fréquente de cette molécule en France dans le contexte du sevrage des toxicomanes. |
